About the Artist

I am a visual artist who paints what I find beautiful, meaningful, or quietly stirring. My work is deeply personal yet intentionally open—meant to evoke not only what is seen, but what is felt. I paint to connect with the underlying essence of things: light, presence, stillness, and memory.

My artistic journey began early, rooted in a deep appreciation for color, form, and the poetry of everyday life. Born in Europe and raised in the United States from my early teens, I spent my formative years in Michigan, where I studied fine arts and received early recognition for my work. Painting has remained a constant companion throughout my life—a language I continue to refine, explore, and trust.

I currently live in South Carolina with my small dog, April, who keeps me company on long walks and quiet days in the studio. I find inspiration in my surroundings, in photos I’ve taken over the years, and in the natural world. My current body of work includes a growing series of 5”x7” acrylic studies—small-format paintings that serve as meditations on color, light, and presence. Some remain as intimate reflections; others become the seeds for larger, more developed pieces.

When I’m not painting, I’m a mom, a grandma, a cook, a lover of books, a sewer, and someone who enjoys the quiet art of daily life. I find joy in a wide range of creative pursuits and family time, all of which feed into my work.

I also enjoy traveling, camping, and getting involved in conservation efforts to help protect the land and spaces I find so inspiring. While I’m not deeply involved in politics, I care deeply about the world and strive to stay informed, reflective, and open to learning.

I see my work as a quiet offering—a way of sharing the way I see, feel, and interpret reality. Each painting invites the viewer into a moment of contemplation, joy, or recognition. If a piece resonates, it’s because we’ve met at that deeper level, where art becomes a conversation.
